Distribution

Since 1992, the Farha Foundation has distributed close to $8.3 million to some 76 Quebec AIDS organizations providing the following services to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families:

• FOOD
• HOUSING
• EDUCATION PROGRAMS
• TRANSPORTATION
• HYGIENE PRODUCTS
• COUNSELING AND SUPPORT
• MEDICATION
• PALLIATIVE CARE HOMECARE
• OUTPATIENT SERVICES
• MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES
• SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAMS
• CAMP FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS
• NEEDLE EXCHANGE PROGRAMS

A volunteer advisory committee screens which projects and organizations the Farha Foundation funds. The General Executive Committee then approves the committee’s recommendations and follow-ups are done to ensure the funds are being used appropriately.
